The baccalaureate program (BSc. Nursing) is offered in association with the University of the West Indies and approved by the Nursing Council of Jamaica. It is completed over eight semesters (four years) including a summer with all instructions for the program being taught by Knox faculty members at Cobbla. We strive for excellence in education, research and clinical care. Our baccalaureate students have captured the coveted prize of National Nursing Student of the year, and by extension making Knox the Nursing School of the year in 2010, 2012 and 2013. Our graduate nurses are fast becoming icons nationally and internationally.

The Assistant Nursing program commenced in October 1995. Since this period we have successfully prepared over 300 Enrolled Assistant Nurses for employment in health care agencies worldwide. The curriculum is built upon courses from the biological sciences, liberal arts, and nursing. These courses provide the foundation for the practice of nursing. Six core values (critical thinking, safe and competent practice, caring, professionalism, communication and holistic care) provide the framework for the nursing curriculum. This Program spans over 18 months and graduates are prepared for work in health care facilities both locally and internationally. Knox Community College graduates are known to be highly skilled and display exemplary work ethics in the delivery of health care to clients. An approved program by the Nursing Council of Jamaica, it is set for expansion serving the needs of more students in Mandeville and May Pen and their environs.
